  18. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

  20. o OS2.0 or higher
  21. o reqtools.library © 1991-1994 by Nico François (thanks Nico!)
  22. o a SCSI bus adapter capable of sending SCSI direct commands
  23. o a SCSI-2 CD-ROM which can read CD-DA ("Red Book") encoded discs
  24.   (i.e. you should see a headphone jack on the front panel)
  25. o optionally your CD-ROM should be capable of sending the audio as
  26.   16-bit digital data over the SCSI bus

  31. o GUI that let's you access all basic functions of a normal CD-Player
  32. o is a Commodity
  33. o can display songnames and CD title (of course you once have to enter
  34.   the names)
  35. o doesn't wastes memory
  36. o SCSI errors are displayed as text (95 known)
  37. o realtime playback of audio on your Amiga, even on 68000 machines   (*)
  38.   (achieved by highly optimised assembler routines)
  39. o ability to save (parts of) songs as IFF (8SVX) or RAW              (*)
  40.  
  41. (*) CD-ROM must be able to send audio over SCSI bus (see SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS)

  48.        o removed a bug that caused some CD-ROM's to report
  49.          "INVALID FIELD IN CDB" when starting audio playback
  50.        o "via SCSI" now works for Toshiba drives (of course only those
  51.          who support to send audio as digital data over the SCSI bus)
  52.        o most buttons now have keyboard shortcuts
  53.        o volume now adjustable
  54.        o new tooltype AMIGAVOL and CDROMVOL to set the start volume
  55.        o IFF format now more correct
  56.        o removed SCSI error text that didn't belong to CD-ROM's
  57.        o updated vendor identification list
  58.        o device, board, unit, LUN now changeable within the program
  59.          and therefore invalid start parameter don't quit the program
  60.          anymore
  61.        o tooltype EDITOR now also accepts %S for editors that expect
  62.          AmigaDOS wildcards
  63.        o new tooltype VIASCSI to allow "via SCSI" to be checked at startup
  64.        o new tooltype AUDIOCHANNELS to specify which of the four audio
  65.          channels are used
  66.        o new tooltype AUTOSTART to start playback whenever a CD is inserted
  67.        o new tooltype AUTOEJECT to eject CD at end of playback
  68.        o new tooltype ALTERNATETIME (time in 00:00:00 format)
  69.        o new tooltype NOVIASCSI to hide menu and button that can only be
  70.          used by CD-ROM's which are able to send audio data over the SCSI bus
  71.        o windows now open activated
  72.        o Now included the command TestCDROM to simplify (bug) reports
